Its position allows attendees to experience the beauty of Crete — from coastline views and local villages to nearby cultural sites — while enjoying the privacy and tranquillity of a resort environment. The area around Sissi also offers opportunities for short walks, local dining, and discovering the island’s authentic atmosphere during free time.
🌟 UPDATES TO THE YMC 2026 AGENDA 🌟
We are excited to introduce several improvements to the YMC programme for Crete. Based on participant feedback and the successful elements from Warsaw, the schedule has been redesigned to create more space for business, more meaningful meetings, and a smoother flow across all three days.
Thursday -
YMC Opening reception & dinner
As in previous years, we begin with the YMC Opening Reception on Thursday evening — your first opportunity to meet fellow young movers and reconnect with colleagues from across Europe. This relaxed start sets the tone for the days ahead.
FRIDAY -
FULL DAY OF SPEED-NETWORKING
For the first time, Friday is fully dedicated to YMC Speed-Networking. This change gives participants more time for structured meetings, stronger conversations, and a more relaxed pace — without the pressure of a compressed agenda. The day ends with a shared dinner and social evening.
SATURDAY -
YMC OFFICIAL CONFERENCE
Saturday will now host the entire YMC Conference day, including keynote speakers, interactive sessions, panel discussion, and team-building activity. The day concludes with the YMC Gala Dinner, closing the event in style.
Now, meet the speakers and sessions driving the YMC 2026 Conference.
Session title: Sustainability on the Move - Less Talk, More Impact
Speaker: Max NeumannCompany: Streff, Luxembourg
Session description:
Sustainability in the moving industry rarely fails because of bad intentions — it fails because companies wait for perfect answers before taking the first step.
This session is designed to break that pattern.
It starts by establishing a shared baseline: what sustainability realistically means for moving companies today, how expectations from customers, partners, and regulators are evolving, and why progress often comes from practical decisions rather than grand strategies.
From there, the focus moves quickly away from slides and towards people. The heart of the session is an interactive walk around format, encouraging open exchange of experiences, ideas, and challenges from across the room. Participants are invited to share what they are doing, what they are struggling with, and what they have learned along the way.
Whether sustainability is new territory for your company or already part of your operations, this session offers the chance to compare approaches, question assumptions, and discover solutions that fit everyday reality — including simple opportunities that are often overlooked.
- A practical view on sustainability in the moving industry, without buzzwords or greenwashing
- Interactive, peer-driven discussions based on real operational experience
- Examples of small changes that can create meaningful impact
- Honest exchange about successes, challenges, and lessons learned
- Take-home ideas that can be adapted to your own organisation
Session objective:
The goal is not to leave with a perfect roadmap, but with fresh perspectives, shared insight, and at least one concrete action that can realistically be put into practice.
Session title: the ai-powered mover
